VINE: Sangiovese 100% Grapes
VINEYARD: The village of Castelgiocondo dominates the historic Frescobaldi estate in Montalcino, an ancient stronghold built in 1100, one of the first four properties in which the production of Brunello di Montalcino began in 1800. the vineyards are located at heights between 300 and 400 meters, and the soils have a sunny and favorable exposure to the south-west.
VINIFICATION: Castelgiocondo is the Brunello di Montalcino which comes from a very rigorous selection of only Sangiovese grapes. Aging takes place in french oak barriques and slavonian oak barrels. The result is an elegant, balanced wine with intense aromas.
CHARACTERISTICS: Dark ruby red, with warm and mineral aromas, of black fruits and nuts. On the palate it has a full body, soft tannins and a tasty finish. Expresses ripe fruit with sapid nuances
PAIRINGS: Ideal with braised meats, stews, stewed meat, beef fillet, aged cheeses.
