These organic chickpeas are an indigenous variety of the valley of Mulino Val d’Orcia, Tuscany, and are cultivated over 2 hectares of land. They are planted around mid-March and harvested in July and August.
This superfood has ancient origins and incredible nutritional properties. Rich in calories, proteins, carbohydrates, fiber, starch, minerals, and vitamins A and C. Chickpeas also contain saponins, which help to reduce cholesterol.
Excellent for cooking salads, soups, and hummus.
